This is the triple safety we use on all of our attic installations. (A) is the primary drain switch. (B) is the secondary drain switch which is run to a conspicuous location. (C) is another secondary drain switch. This is more than the code requires.
All joints on this duct are properly sealed.
Foundation penetrations must be caulked to prevent rodents, pests, moisture, and air leaks.
